We know, it took a while…but BMW looked carefully to all the 45 still movies, looking for the 3 best stories able to express the unique bond between men and cars. The same that inspires the German automotive company every time it designs a new model or restyles a classic.
All the proposals have been evaluated on the basis of coherence with the brief provided, originality and quality of both concept and style, and now we can proudly announce the 3 winners of BMW Still Film Festival photocontest.

The BMW StillFilmFestival - "Great life around a small car". !

Do you think there is always a choice in life? BMW doesn’t!

BMW only believe in Series 1 life.
And this is neither about money or coolness, nor a challenge.
It 's your life what we are talking about. So this is about you!
BMW is choosing you in all your uniqueness. Always. Without any doubt!

Individuality? Anti-aging? Effectiveness? Dynamism?
Social skills? Provocation? Comfort? Design?

The New “sport and urban” Series 1 hatch car is you!

BMW launches the only car which can deliver synonyms and antonyms: Dynamism and firmness. Design and comfort. Individuality and social-skills. Provocation and elegance. Anti-aging with no tricks!
Exciting aesthetics and impressive performance are the hallmarks of the New Series 1 and they can satisfy both "sports and urban" needs, two moments of life itself, two moments that belong to you – “one origin, two originals".

It’s a Series 1 life you are looking for? Show us in a series of 4 photos to say “How you are living a great life around a small car”!

How does your life revolve around your car in a urban or sporty way? What do you share with your car of your day, your business, your physical activities, your daily rush through the city, your trips to the country side, your socialization, technology, passions, mood?

Become a StillDirector – tell us a story or show us a situation that links you to your car through a still movie. Take 4 pictures in a sequence, exactly like a short film of 4 frames, to tell a story about the two of you… yourself and your car.

You can use the “QuadCamera” iPhone application or simply take a series of photos with your mobile or camera. Then create a single image made of 4 consecutive shots which can tell the story/situation that you have lived with your car and post it on Shicon.

€3.500 prize pot + you can be part of the BMW adv campaign!

BMW will select the 3 most original and astonishing StillMovies, in line with their style. The first 3 winners will receive a cash prize + visibility at international level. Their StillMovies will be also considered as creative ideas for future BMW adv and communication.

Important notes:

Which car photos are admitted to the competition?
Everyone, from every brand! You are free to create an ambient for your StillFilm using any kind of car.

Is there any limit to the number of photos which can be posted by the same author?
No limits, you can post as many StillFilms as you like as far as they follow the brief : it means you have to create a single image made of 4 consecutive shots - like 4 frames of a film - that tells the story/situation that you have lived with your car.

How is BMW going to select and promote the 3 winning photos
During the days following the end of the competition BMW will make their review and decision. The 3 selected StillFilms will become exclusive property of BMW. The winners will get international visibility – the names of the authors/photographers will be officially announced. In addition, as already described above, the 3 StillFilms will be considered as a creative input for future BMW adv campaigns, above and below the line.

Pop out wherever you are around the world, and don't forget to bring your mobile or camera with you! But most of all your unique ability to catch the coolest “sport and urban” side of your car!
