CONTEST EXTENDED and GREAT NEWS ABOUT THE BRIEF

Due to different and amazing sustainable-green ideas coming from all over the world, AIESEC decided to:

1)Accept photo entries about general eco-green ideas too. It means that not only photos of applied sustainable projects can join the contest from now on, but also about green-life ideas. That’s because AIESEC perfectly understood that the eco-concept is developing and reinforcing differently depending on the Country and area of origin. Simply feel free to go green, guys!

2) Extend the contest up to April the 30th Yes! It means more time for you to find the perfect green and sustainable idea to surprise AIESEC!

3) Increase prizes and visibility! First of all AIESEC and SHICON confirm the original brief prizes:
3 paid internships in Milan, lasting 6 months, in TVN Media Group

&
5 best ideas will get €200 cash each.
Then AIESEC also decided to show during the “Youth Change Week” in Italy from Monday 4th to Sunday 10th April a selection of entries joined the competition up today, 1st April 2011. The name and website or email of the authors will be printed together with the photo in order to give the visibility that everyone deserve.
At least but not last you have now the chance that your photo becomes the COVER of AIESEC’s new “Sustainability Guidebook”! In fact in summer 2011 AIESEC will launch an international event promoting its first “Sustainability Guidebook” , a new and innovative eco-green guide projects created by students. All the contest winning photos will be also exposed during the event.

AIESEC is the world's largest student organization since 1948. This April, from Monday the 4th to Sunday the 10th, it will be launching the “Youth Change Week” throughout Italy, to promote its values and share the belief that young people can really make a difference in the world. This special week wants to be the prelude for another international event in this coming summer, in which the organization will announce the publishing of its new book around sustainability: “The Sustainability Guide”, a guide that collect a wide range of “green” projects conceived by students.

So, AIESEC wants you to be imaginative, to submit photos about world-changing ideas around green concept and sustainability.

Make and submit photos from all over the world that can give a perspective and suggestions on how our environment could change, in Italy and elsewhere.

Within this contest, professionals and passionate young talents, students can have their chance to present their best ideas, through photos, for improving our global environment. They can show it to an international network of students and companies and create a discussion for thoughts around their concepts. This can lead into a wider on AIESEC site, where groups can engage and organize around these ideas.

The competition is open to ANYBODY from all over the world. The winners will be awarded with paid internships, cash prizes and visibility, in Italy and internationally.

PRIZES and VISIBILITY

1) 3 paid internships in Milan, lasting 6 months, in TVN Media Group, who is sponsoring the contest together with Shicon.
TVN Media Group is an Italian publishing group, focused on marketing & communications with its magazines ADV Strategie di Comunicazione, Pubblicità Italia, toBE, MyMarketing.Net e Televisionet.tv.
The intern will start on September 2011 and will work within TVN Media Group’s editorial staff. The internship is open to people from all over the world. During selection, TVN Media Groups will favor profiles that have skills in information technology, communications and marketing, journalism, print and broadcasting, design, graphics, motion graphics, social networking, web marketing. The internship provides a salary of €600 per month.

2) The 5 best ideas will be awarded by Shicon with an amount of 200€ each.

3) *NEW* Chance that 1 of the photos joined the contest becomes the COVER of “Sustainability Guidebook”, the new book that AIESEC is up to publish together with the Italian publishing group “EdizioniAmbiente”.

4) *NEW* All submitted photos, will be published on “www.youthchange.it”, official website for AIESEC National Initiative “Youth Driven Sustainable Change” + printed and exhibited in Summer during the launch event of the “Sustainability Guidebook”.

5) *NEW* Moreover, during “Youth Change” Week, from the 4th to the 10th of April, AIESEC Local Chapters will organize events in several Italian Universities, showing the contests results. A selection of entries received so far, up today the 1st April 2011, will be exhibited all around Italy!

Important notes:

What should I submit?
*NEW* One or more pictures showing your idea of sustainability:
1) examples of applied sustainability (technology, architecture, design, fashion, agriculture);
2) green solutions and tips to improve the environment;
3) suggestions about “green philosophy”: your tips to live an eco-friendly in the everyday life.

The pictures will go along with a short description explaining your concept. This is a photo contest, so please use only photos to describe your idea.

What I can't submit?
We are not going to accept any design or photo retouching. We decline any works containing outrageous, discriminating and racism towards individuals and groups of people. One of the core value of AIESEC is “Living Diversity”. All ideas discriminating based on sex, language or religion will be automatically not taken into consideration. Since 1948 AIESEC is an independent and apolitical international organization. References to any political party are strongly discouraged.

We will not accept pictures showing message of denunciation. The contest is about to suggest positive ideas and proposals.

Who will be judging the works?
Ideas will be judged by TVN Media Group manager, Shicon Representative and National and international AIESEC Members. Results will be evaluated based on the creativity of the idea, potential change for the society, and adherence to the brief guidelines.

The internship provides a salary of €600 per month and will start on September 2011. The intern will work within TVN Media Group’s editorial staff and it will support the team with several tasks, according to its position.
We remind that, as specified on the brief, TVN Media Group favored profiles that have skills in information technology, communications and marketing, journalism, print and broadcasting, design, graphics, motion graphics, social networking, and web marketing, suitable to hold specific job positions within the editorial division.
So, after selecting a shortlist of photos – selected according to criteria of coherence with the brief provided, originality and quality of the work – TVN Media Group picked the winners on the basis of the resumes and portfolios of their authors.
