Create and submit your unique and original ArtDesigns

Create your design using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Submit a low resolution version for the contest, but make yourself sure and ready for high resolution in case you win, it means a minimum of 300 dpi and to the approximate size that the design should be printed.

After your submitted it, Shicon staff will review your Artdesign. We remember you that reasons for rejected submissions are:

1. No design placement on product shown in submission
2. Copyright Infringement or Duplicate Submission
3. ArtDesign has offensive or inappropriate content
4. Submission file damaged or the ArtDesign needs more details or work

You will receive a confirmation email once your ArtDesign has been admitted to the competition.

Share and spread your talent! Win money and get your name printed.

When you join the competition don't forget to promote your ArtDesign! Share and spread your talent all over by referring to the Shicon.com site because the winning ArtDesigns are selected by a combination of votes and comments from the user community, Shicon's team and international advisors from the industry and universities when possible.

Final judgment is incentivising fresh concepts and innovative designs.

If your work is chosen as the Daily ArtDesign it will then be eligible to be a winning design of the Week or Month and so to be printed on high quality goods and be sold on Shicon.com through ecommerce. We have decided to start with t-shirts, but additional fashion, design and homeware goods will come soon.

Weekly and Monthly winning users are awarded money prizes. The name of the designer is shown on the item.

Prizes

Daily ArtDesign prize: this type of selected ArtDesigns will be advertised on the Shicon home page for at least 20 hours and the artist will receive 5 store credits worth €5,00 or £4.00. Daily ArtDesigns will not be necessarily printed out but will be automatically eligible to become Weekly or Monthly ArtDesigns.

Weekly ArtDesign prize: €200,00 or £164.00 plus 100 credits, worth €100,00 or £82.00 and have your name displayed.

Branded Contest and Shicon Special Contest prizes: as described in the associated brief.

Award ArtDesign prize: €300,00 or £246.00 cash and 300 store credits worth €300,00 or £246.00.

All the weekly and monthly winning ArtDesigns will be produced in limited editions. It means that lots of no more than 50 items will be manufactured with the same colour and/or shape. That's because Shicon highly value unique designs on unique people.

Following the link below you can find the download kit with the blank colours of goods we are going to sell at the moment. Feel free to use them in your submissions or alternatively you can use your images, or pictures and suggest new items where we can consider to print your ArtDesign.

You are required to upload two separate images when submitting to Shicon.

The first image is your ArtDesign 112 pixel wide and 157 pixels tall jpg, gif or png and has to be the best representation of your design because we'll use it in the vote gallery and through various areas on the site.

The second image shows the ArtDesign on the blank product through a 650 pixel wide and 500 pixels tall jpg, gif or png. We do require you to show placement of your design in this second image. It's nice if you use also a real ambient too. It will be the one representing your work for people to vote on.

Your design must use no more than 8 unique colours (no CMYK- no quadricromia allowed).
